Tamiami Tr. was the subject of a settled eviction suit in the Sarasota Herald Tribune last week.&nbsp; The article said that Congressman Buchanan was the general partner for the LLC that owned the building. Sales results in Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte Counties for June 2011 have just been compiled.&nbsp; The total sales in each county decreased significantly&nbsp;for June 2011 compared to June 2010.&nbsp; For the month of June 2011 (compareed to June 2010) sales decreased 10.2% in Sarasota County, 13.6% in Manatee County and 3.9% in Charlotte County.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Sarasota County Real Estate Sales increased for bank owned foreclosures and non-distressed sales, as short sales closings continued to decline in 2011.&nbsp; Pending Sales are down a total of 9.5% from the end of May 2010, while inventories are down 12.6%.&nbsp;&nbsp;

I just ran some stats on 2010, residential sales in Sarasota Ciounty.&nbsp;&nbsp; In 2010, short sales buyers were rewarded for their patience of enduring a short sale by gettting the best deals on residential homes.&nbsp; Short Sale buyers saved an average of 37% or $56/sq.ft. compared to buyers of non-distressed proeprties in Sarasota County in&nbsp;2010.&nbsp; Buyers of REO/Bank Owned properteis&nbsp;paid an average of $119.54/sq.ft.

Sarasota County Real Estate Sales up for the December but flat for 2010

Sales in December 2010 were strong compared to Nov. in Sarasota County.&nbsp; There were a total of 797 sales reported in the MFR MLS in Sarasota Conty in December 2010.&nbsp; This is up 30% from the 615 sales in Nov. 2010 but only a 3% increase from Dec. 2010.&nbsp;&nbsp;
