Foreclosures dominate September 2010 Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte County sales

Sales remained strong in September 2010 due to the continued liquidation of bank owned properties and pre-foreclosure short sales.   The first three tables below show the sales activity, broken down by foreclosure status, for September, 2010 for Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte counties.  The fourth table shows Sarasota County historical sales, broken donw by foreclsoure status.

In September 2010 49% of closings and 69.5% of pending closings were bank owned or short sales.
